Big news coming out of Walt Disney World–the summer season holds some great surprises!  Even if you’ve been to WDW recently, you will have new things to experience each evening.  Here is the press release:

Meg Crofton, president of the Walt Disney World Resort, unveiled plans for Summer Nightastic!, a series of limited-time entertainment offerings that will plus up multiple parks this summer. “I’m pleased to announce that this summer, Walt Disney World is adding a brand new seasonal celebration. After the sun goes down, our Walt Disney World parks will light up the night with Summer Nightastic!, featuring a glowing lineup of entertainment and attractions.”

Included in the Summer Nightastic! line up will be the return of the Main Street Electrical Parade to Magic Kingdom Park , which will step off in June for the first time since 2001.  The parade, which debuted at the park in 1977, will be led by a new float that features Tinker Bell waving from the basket of a magical balloon. The procession also will include new floats that feature Pinocchio and Snow White.  Afterward, Guests can view a limited-time summer fireworks spectacular. At our other theme parks during Summer Nightastic!, Guests can enjoy Sounds Like Summer concert series at Epcot, enjoy pulse-pounding thrills at The Twilight Zone – Tower of Terror, which will debut new lighting effects and the addition of a new drop sequence, or stroll through Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park during extended evening hours. ” Florida summer nights are wonderful opportunities to stay up late,” Crofton said.  “And Summer Nightastic! makes Walt Disney World the place to enjoy summer nights.”
