Great news, sports fans! Starting December 17, 2009, you will be able to book special packages for the 2010 ESPN the Weekend event, which will take place at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on February 25-28, 2010. These packages not only include accommodations at a Disney resort and park tickets; they also include exclusive VIP access to events such as the official debut of the rebranded ESPN Wide World of Sports complex, tickets to ESPN televised Harlem Globetrotters, A Very Special Performance featuring Mike and Mike from ESPN’s Mike and Mike in the Morning, a commemorative ESPN Wide World of Sports opening weekend T-shirt, the ability to enter theater events for ESPN shows 15 minutes before regular park guests, and the ability to reserve tickets to watch Mike and Mike in the Morning and The Herd with Colin Cowherd before they become available to the general public.
There are also famous athletes and sportscasters making appearances throughout each day in parades, game shows, feature shows, and Q & A sessions. You might even find yourself riding one of the park’s popular rides next to one of your sports heroes!
These packages are sure to be popular. Last year, I had several people contact me to find out how to get tickets for Mike and Mike in the Morning, but at that time there was no way other than to hope to find someone who was willing to give theirs up.
