Disney Cruise Line announces Disney Dream

Disney Cruise Line unveiled on Thursday, October 29th its amazing new addition to the fleet, the Disney Dream.  It includes such innovations as the first water coaster on a cruise ship, virtual portholes in inside staterooms, and interactive children’s play areas.  Click the image above to view pictures, videos, and information about this exciting new member of the Disney Cruise Line family of ships.

The inaugural sailing is set for January 26, 2011, and you could be aboard!  Bookings for this historic cruise will be opening up on November 2nd for Gold or Platinum members of the Castaway Club (those who have completed at least 5 sailings on DCL) and November 9th for everyone else.

Disney World Buy 4, Get 3 Free Nights offer returns!

Another exciting new discount is now available at Walt Disney World–the return of Buy 4 Nights, Get 3 Nights Free!  This offer is available for Deluxe, Deluxe Villa, and Moderate Resorts, but a slightly different offer is available for Value Resorts: Buy 5 Nights, Get 2 Nights Free.  This offer is available for stays of 5-10 nights for Deluxe, Deluxe Villa, and Moderate Resorts and 6-10 nights for Value Resorts.

Both offers require you to buy Magic Your Way tickets for the same number of nights of stay that you buy (4 or 5, depending on the resort category).  You’ll then get up to 3 free days of base tickets, although Park Hoppers and Water Park Fun & More options can be added.  Dining Plans can also be added for the normal cost.

The dates for this offer are November 1st-December 24th, 2009 and January 3rd-March 27th, 2010.  You must book by December 20th.

If you are already booked in a Disney resort during this time period, we can try to get the discount applied to your reservation for you.  Many people who took advantage of the Free Dining offer for this fall will find that they will still be better off with the Free Dining.  But if you are in a Deluxe or Deluxe Villa resort, the Buy 4, Get 3 offer will probably be a better deal.  As always, we will check your reservation to find you the best option so that you’ll get the most for your money.

Disney Cruise Line is going to Alaska!

DCLAlaska_220Disney Cruise Line announced today that in 2011 the Disney Wonder will be making eighteen 7-night sailings to Alaska!  We will be able to book your Alaskan adventure starting on September 28th, 2009.  Castaway Club members who have completed 5 or more DCL sailings can book on September 21st!

Big changes for Disney Cruise Line’s Land & Sea packages

Disney MagicThere are big changes for Disney Cruise Line’s 2010 Land and Sea packages.  Instead of the traditional 7 night Land and Sea (4 nights WDW/3 night cruise OR 3 nights WDW/4 night cruise), you can now book a cruise of any length and add a WDW resort stay of any length–either pre- or post-cruise! 

Another huge change is the availability of 18 resorts rather than the 9 that were previously available.  No longer will your stateroom category determine which WDW resort you can choose.  You could stay in a Cat. 11 stateroom and then choose to stay at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa…or you could stay in a suite on the cruise ship but stay at Pop Century during your WDW portion of the trip.  Ground transfers will be available between the port all 18 of the resorts (for a fee).

2010 Walt Disney World Packages now available!

2010 Walt Disney packages were officially released today, so if you have been waiting to book next year’s vacation there’s no time like the present!

Slight differences exist in the 2010 package inclusions, but they are in large part the same as the 2009 packages.  Missing this year is the free 5×7 PhotoPass print.  But added this year are discounts for spa treatments (15%), fishing excursions (10%), and Sammy Duvall Water Sports Center (10%).  Arcade cards for the resorts have changed slightly, too; they are now for 100 game play points rather than the 30 minutes of consecutive play time that was in the 2009 packages.

New discount offers from Disney Cruise Line

The first set of discounts is for 3- and 4-night Bahamian cruises and 7-night Caribbean cruises in January and February 2010.  Rates start as low as $399 for a Cat. 11 3-night cruise, $499 for a Cat. 11 4-night cruise, and $899 for a Cat. 11 7-night cruise.

The next amazing offer is a “Kids Sail Free” offer for 10- and 11-night Mediterranean cruises between April 24-May 26, 2010.  Kids 17 and under are free when booked in a stateroom with two adults paying full fare.

WDW Free Dining Offer Extended through December!

Disney Visa cardholders can now book packages for Sept. 27-Dec. 17, 2009 including FREE dining, although the details are a little bit different than the last offer. 

Guests staying in a Disney Value resort will receive free Quick Service Dining with the option to upgrade to Basic Dining or Deluxe Dining by paying the difference between the plans. 

Guests staying in a Disney Moderate or Deluxe resort will receive free Basic Dining with the option to upgrade to Deluxe Dining by paying the difference in plan prices.

Although this is currently available for Disney Visa cardholders, the normal pattern for discount offers is that they are released for a few days to Visa cardholders and then opened up to the general public.  So stay tuned for more information!

Sail with Disney Channel Stars on Disney Cruise Line!

You can sail with popular Disney Channel stars this summer aboard the Disney Wonder® Cruise Ship during the first-ever “Disney Channel Summer at Sea,” presented by Kodak.Popular stars from Disney Channel shows like “Hannah Montana,” “Sonny With a Chance,” “JONAS,”  “The Suite Life on Deck,”  “Camp Rock,” “High School Musical” and “Hatching Pete” will join Guests on 3- and 4-night cruises beginning July 9 through Aug. 2, 2009.

All eight sailings are available to book now with special fan activities included in the prevailing cruise rate.

During the voyages, Disney Channel stars will help pump up the volume during onboard deck parties and join Guests for Q&A and autograph sessions as well as preview screenings of Disney Channel programming.

The onboard fun culminates with a “Party with the Stars” event, an evening in which Guests are invited to join the stars for a special musical performance by a Disney recording artist.

Tickets for Walt Disney World’s 2009 holiday parties go on sale May 1st!

If you are thinking about vacationing at WDW between September 4th and November 1st, you might want to consider adding Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween party to your list of must-do activities.  It includes many of your favorite Disney characters in their Halloween costumes, trick-or-treat locations throughout the Magic Kingdom, Happy HalloWishes–a fireworks show with lots of villains, and Mickey’s “Boo to You” Halloween Parade.  All of your favorite rides are open to enjoy, and you will see special lighting effects and decorations not seen at any other time.  It’s a “haunting” good time!

 

If you would like to attend Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, you should plan your trip between November 10th and December 18th.  The Magic Kingdom will be decked out with all of its finest holiday decorations–it even snows on Main Street, USA!   Cinderella’s Castle will again be covered in thousands of sparkling lights.  You won’t want to miss the special Christmas-themed fireworks, Holiday Wishes: Celebrate the Spirit of the Season, or Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade.  In addition to riding the rides, you will be able to enjoy special holiday shows and meet your Disney friends.  Oh…did I mention the free hot chocolate and cookies?  This is one special event that you won’t want to miss!
